Project Description
It always feels great to produce designs for small business owners. The satisfaction of helping someone take their aspirations to the next level is a feeling that never gets old. And that doesn't even account for the excitement that comes with launching a brand new product (such as a shiny new website).
The latest recipient of such a website is professional knife maker Alan Harvey of Alan Harvey Custom Knives. For Alan, a website has been stuck in the pipeline for several years now. After being referred to me, however, we were able to pick up the project and hit the ground running.
Aiming to deliver one of the best custom knife websites around, the design of Alan's new website features a modern aesthetic with an aggressive, tactical feel, while delivering a solid user experience through a simple but thorough UI. His custom storefront features a PayPal backbone that promises absolute security for consumers, while providing easy to use business tools for Alan.
I can go on and on about the great features and design we've built into the new site, but the real subject of beauty is Alan's knives. There are a total of nine knives offered through the basic ordering system, which are all beautifully crafted by hand. Of course, more customized jobs are available for those who want something extra special.
